Do people still blog anymore? Where did we last leave off?

The blog has been severely neglected.  but I think my 2026 goal is to restart in some long form content.

Wait, you said I not we.

Well, I’m a widow now.  Earl died in 2024 while he was scuba diving.  The past 22 months have been in the fog of grief, moving, working, not working, crying, laughing, death admin (aka sadmin), and making lots of decisions.

I’ve done a couple of yoga retreats, a trip to a writer’s festival and a trip to Brisbane since then, but this will start fresh.

Some of the content will be widow related, some just random nonsense and observations and hoping to add in some other travel content with some of the cool stuff I’ve planned in 2026.

So, here’s where we left off.  I won’t have blogs for most these,  but always remembering that we had some great trips.

2017 trips – Cradle Mountain, me to Bali and to Cairns.

2018 trips – back to Tassie with my parents

2019 trips – my whirlwind tour of the US, Kansas, Texas, Buffalo, and Niagra Falls and to Fiji

2020 – 2022 – pandemic, so basically only where we could walk and to work.

2023 – Family Yellowstone tour of the US, where Earl got to tick off states like Wyoming and Idaho
