I am not taking my laptop on this trip. Kind of a bold
statement since I don’t normally go anywhere without my laptop. Instead my iPad
will be my portal to the web and means to blog for the 30 days we are
circumnavigating the globe. I thought I would share the apps I plan on using
during this trip. Since I haven’t done an RTW before, I can only guess which
apps will be most beneficial. That being said, I did get ideas from various
other bloggers and the app store.
The apps I will be using in no particular order:
AllSubway HD – This app provides subway maps for major cities around the world.
Google Earth – Kind of a no brainer there
iCurrenyPad – Want to be sure we know how much we are spending in ‘real’ money
World Atlas by National Geographic
Ask a Nomad – This one is kind of interesting. You can type
in a question about a certain region and either locals or those that have
travelled there can provide answers.
FlightTrack Pro – In case we have delays
World Clock – So we can tell what time our bodies THINK it is.
I am open for suggestions if anyone has any
ideas of apps that would be helpful, please leave me a comment.

If you don’t have it, I’ve liked ‘Translate’, particularly for the vocalization.
