We finished packing last night. Surprisingly we were able to sleep. Our lovely neighbor insisted that she take us to the airport at 430 AM. Can’t believe that we lucked out with such great neighbors.
Earl’s almost panicked when the Saddleback duffle didn’t quite fit in the overhead bin, but tightening the buckles and a great Delta flight attendant helped.
Now we are relaxing in the Sky Club in Minneapolis. Lucky for me we had a long layover, since my phone decided that it wasn’t quite ready for world travel and had to be manually reset by Verizon tech support.
So, early trip snafus make for an easy rest of the trip, right?
See you in Berlin!
How much were you able to pack into the duffle? BTW both the duffle and backpack look great. I sold the backpack about one year ago, it was too heavy. I have the waterbag and love it.
Posted by Cece | September 17, 2011, 10:49 AMI packed 3 pairs of pants, 6 shirts, shorts, swim trunks, 10 skivvies, and several pairs of socks in the main compartment. The end pockets hold liquids and all of the cabling for my abundant gadgets. Basically all of my clothing for the trip is in the duffel. I did use space bags to compress everything.
